IF The World Could Vote for Our Next President

(This is in response to a question: What if the world could vote..)

A substantial portion of the world's population lives in nations which are essentially cradle-to-grave "Nanny States"..providing for every need of their citezenry..AND..by doing so, stiflle the entrepreneurial and adventurous spirit that has defined "The American" for 228 years. In surveys and opinion polls (worldwide) before every US Presidential election, a majority of the people have sided with the Democrat; the candidate who most closeley reflects their own socialist views..regardless of his potential effect on the people HERE..in the United States.

People outside of the US do not pay our taxes..or vote in our primaries..or start our small businesses with their life savings...or fight for our constitutional rights...or raise our children..or struggle to pay for OUR OWN homes..or pay our insurance premiums...or worship in our churches/synagogues/mosques/temples..or serve on our local school boards...or volunteer on our fire departments and rescue squads.

Our friends in other nations don't volunteer to serve in our military..they don't have to mortage their homes to ensure a college education for our children...In essence...they don't choose to live as we do: as individuals instead of wards of the state.

Obama and the Democrats talk about "Restoring America's image in the world.." Oh..is that the image of us in 1993 when Muslim terrorists bombed the World Trade Center the FIRST time? Or in 1979 when our embassy in Tehran was taken over? Or is that the image of the US when terrorists in Somalia murdered our Marines and dragged them through the streets of Mogadishu?..or is it the image of a US aircraft carrier off the coast of Indonesia..providing recue for tsunami victims? Or is it the image of Rescue Dogs from New Jersey, searching for survivors in the Mexico City earthquake? Or is it the image of food and supplies being given away in Myanmar with "US AID" stamped on the sacks? If the World Could Vote? Excuse me...but...who cares?
